It corresponds to a broad basin with a soft longitudinal bed and a broad transversal profile typical of “U” valleys. The origin of these types of morphologies is related to the alternating damp and semi-arid stages that favour fitting at the bottom of the ravine and the setback of the hillsides, respectively. These are valleys that were originally “V” shaped where foothill are so developed that go towards the centre of the bed. On the hillside of Valle de Temisa we may observe two generations of detrital deposits. The modern ones can be picked out by the intense encalichamiento of its surface.
This geosite has a mainly geomorphological interest. Its secondary interest is stratigraphica and sedimentological. This geosite is typical of U valleys on the eastern islands of the Canarian archipelago. There is abundant geological diversity.
